20 years ago… Video games dominated the Christmas season

After five years of dominating the Christmas wish list of many boys and girls, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) met it’s first stiff competition in the home video game system arena in 1989 as Sega released the Genesis system into the market. The Sega Genesis quickly became the most wanted Christmas toy of 1989. Who would’ve thought in 20 years, the projected revenue for video games for 2009 would be at approximately $57 billion!
