Top Ten Super Bowl Ads – and the worst!
Posted February 8th, 2010Since the Patriots didn’t make it to the Big Game this year, we were free to pay more attention to one of our favorite Super Bowl traditions: the commercials. Here’s how we ranked them – what did you think?
10. Late Show with David Letterman Promo –
A follow up to the famous love fest with Oprah in 2007 but add Jay Leno to the mix and Dave mocking him and it’s pretty funny.
9. Google – Search On
Obviously Google is feeling the pressure from Bing – this was a pretty creative take on how the search engine can get you through life.
8. Hyundai – Brett Favre
It’s funny because it’s true. Kudos to Brett for poking fun at himself. (Now please, retire. For real.)
7. Home Away – Vacation from Hell
Reuniting the Griswolds is a recipe for greatness.
6. Dodge Charger – Man’s Last Stand
Sad but true. Three reasons this is funny: “I will carry your lip balm…I will watch your vampire TV shows with you…I will put my underwear in the basket.”
5. E-Trade – Baby First Class
These talking babies are always a favorite. This is one was like the Hangover meets Look Who’s Talking.
4. Volkswagen – Punch Buggy
Who didn’t play this game? The Stevie Wonder and Tracy Morgan dialogue at the end makes this great.
3. Snickers – Betty White
Anything with Betty White is pretty great in our book – especially when she’s being tackled and talking trash in a football game.
2. E-Trade – Girlfriend
These just keep getting better. The milkaholic line is absolutely priceless.
1. Doritos – House Rules
Little kids with attitude are hilarious. Plus, unexpected slaps across the face are funny no matter what scenario they appear in.
And the worst? The “Boost Mobile Shuffle”
Pitiful. Sad. Embarrassing. We could come up with more words to describe how bad this was but we’ll let you watch for yourself.

Betty White rules, she needs to be #1. At least that is what your girlfriend told me.
It was hard to decide on these! The top five were all pretty awesome!
